Please share a memory of Shirley to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Shirley Ann (Gatlos) Gerhard, beloved wife of R. Bruce Gerhard of Spring City, passed away Thursday evening at Manatawny Manor. They had been married for over 56 years. Shirley was the daughter of the late Andrew and Anna (Klimcho) Gatlos. She lived most of her life in Spring City and was a graduate of Phoenixville High School. As a faithful member of Faith Bible Fellowship Church in Spring City, she devoted her service as the Sunday School teacher for the 2 and 3 year old class for nearly 50 years. "Aunt Shirley" loved her family, her church family, and as we all know - GIRAFFES! In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Desiree and Rachel, and four grandchildren, Kate, Megan, Ryan, and Lauren, as well as two sisters, Joan Tulish and Elaine Grubb, and one sister-in-law, Rose Gatlos.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend her funeral services on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at Faith Bible Fellowship Church, Pennhurst Road, Spring City. Visitation will be at 10 am, followed by the service at 11 am, both at the church. Burial will follow at Vincent Mennonite Cemetery, Spring City and a time of fellowship for all back at the church. Online condolences can be made and the obituary viewed at The Shalkop Grace & Strunk Funeral Home in Spring City is handling arrangements.
