Obituary of Rita S. Wesler

Rita  S. Wesler, 87

Rita Wesler, 87, wife of Donald Wesler, passed away Thursday October 7, 2021 in the Phoenixville Hospital.

She was born June 5, 1934 to the late John and Rita (Zuill) Smith. One of eight children, Rita graduated from high school in Dover, New Jersey and made her way into Wilmington Delaware where she worked for Dupont and and then went on to hold an accounting position at a local bank. 

She lived most of her married life in the Kimberton - Chester Springs Pennsylvania area.  She was a member of the St. Peters Lutheran church where she sang in the choir and was on church council.  In her free time Rita enjoyed time with her cats, and crossword puzzles.  She also loved to watch the Philadelphia Phillies and enjoyed listening to music. Rita was a homemaker and was proud of her family.  She adored watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren grow.

Rita leaves behind her husband Donald Wesler, her children:  Susan Dries and Lisa Wesler; sister: Mildred Gerringer and brother: Ronald Smith.  Three grandchildren:  Nicci, Beverly and Ryan; and four great grandchildren: Haley, Jadyn, Casey, Carson.

Visitation at the church will be from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM Monday, October 18, 2021 at St. Peters Lutheran Church located at 1239 Clover Mill Road in Chester Springs, with a funeral service and burial to immediately follow. All are welcome to gather for lunch at the church in Fellowship Hall.
