Obituary of Nancy L. McKain

Nancy  L. McKain, 81, Spring City

Nancy McKain, 81, widow of the late James L. McKain, passed away early  Sunday morning, January 16, 2022 in the Above and Beyond at the Knights in Allentown, PA.

Born in Pottstown, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Jefferson Slaughter and  Wilamena (Slifer) Slaughter.

Nancy grew up in the Spring Ford community. In 1965 she married, James, a Staff Sargent in the U.S Army. The couple lived in various US states during his military career. After retirement from the military, James and Nancy moved back to the Spring City Area.

Nancy enjoyed crocheting, knitting, embroidery, cooking, and baking. She was a member of the American Legion and the Legion Ladies Auxiliary.

Nancy leaves behind her daughter, Kelly L. McKain partner of Neil D’Andria of Bethlehem, three loving grandchildren:  Anna Kutch wife of David Kutsch, Collegeville; Emily Keller fiancée of Travis Tidmore, Nashville, TN., and Mary Keller; two sisters:  Grace Collopy and Judy Jones; Brother-in-law Roger Schmidt.

She is predeceased by her sisters, Janet Ewing and Ruthann Schmidt and her brother Robert Slaughter.

A private burial of ashes will be held at a later date.
