Obituary of Janice E. Walters

Janice Elaine (Fox) Walters, 87, of Royersford passed away in Phoenixville on January 20, 2022.

Janice was born in Spring City, Pennsylvania in 1934. She was the daughter to the late Dorothy Pearl (Fox) Yost and Morris Yost. She attended Spring City & North Coventry High Schools and later gained employment at Bachman/Valley Maid Potato Chips.

She was a generous and loving mother and grandmother. She was affectionately known as “Nan” to most. She could be found avidly cheering on both the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Philadelphia Phillies any time she had an opportunity. Janice loved reading and anything to do with birds – feeding them and watching them brought her great joy as well as collecting items in the likeness of mice.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Ruth Mealey, long time companion William Hixson Jr. (Over 40 years)  and three grandchildren. She leaves behind five sons and their wives: John Jr (Deb), Clyde (Nina), Guy, Carl (Priscilla), and Christian Sr. (Lori) as well as two sisters: Barbara Nickel, Dorothy Grace Albright, 18 Grandchildren and 33 Great Grandchildren.
