George E. Fetters Jr of Douglassville passed away peacefully holding his wife’s hand on Monday, February 21, 2022.  He was 81. 

Born in Spring City, a son to the late Margaret & George Fetters Sr., George Jr went on to join the United States Army upon graduating high school.   George was married to his best friend & love of his life, Sylvia  of 59 years. He resided most of his life in Douglassville. George spent 25 years working for Colorcon where he later retired.   In addition to his love of fishing – as a hobby and in bass fishing competition – George recently achieved his certificate of HAM Radio Operation.

He was member of the Mt. Pickering Masonic Lodge #446 where he served as past master.

In addition to his wife George is survived by his son: Mark T. (Ann) Fetters and granddaughter: Brittany.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Memorial service on Saturday 2/26/ at 11am at the Shalkop Grace&Strunk Funeral Home, 135 Bridge Street Spring City PA 19475. Visitation will be held from 10-11am, a Masonic Service will be at 10:45am. On line condolences can be made and obituary viewed at www.sgsfuneralhome.com
