Doris L. Paschall, 78, Doris L. Paschall, daughter of the late Leonard L. and Frances V.(Stewart) Paschall, passed away June 27, 2013 at Manatawny Manor in Pottstown after a recent illness and ongoing decline. Doris was born on June 16, 1935, at Taylor Hospital in Ridley Park and spent her youth in Darby. After High School, she graduated from Penn State University with a BS in Education, and later attained her MA in Education from the same university. Dottie was an elementary school teacher (grades 1 - 4) first at Marple Newtown for 9 years, then at Belmont - now Caley Elementary School, Upper Merion - for 29 years. After diligently teaching and loving children for 38 years, she retired in 1995. Doris enjoyed travelling both internationally and within the U.S. - and was especially fond of coastal Maine. Upon retirement she began a doll collection and displayed her "kids" in a room aptly named "Paschall's Rascals". She also enjoyed singing and for 9 years was a member of the Valley Forge Chapter of "Sweet Adelines". Doris was preceded in death by her brother, Leonard L. Paschall, Jr. She is survived by her sister, Kathy (Bill) Frederick of Columbia, MD; sister-in-law Marcy Paschall of Mesa, AZ; four nieces - Sherry, Jackie, Andrea and Jennifer. She is also survived by one nephew - Leonard Paschall; 2 great nephews - Ryan and Lenny; 3 great nieces - Kaycee, Kelsey and Amanda. Her big heart and loving and generous spirit will be missed by all who knew her. At her request there will be no funeral services, but a memorial gathering will be held at a later date.
