Obituary of Linda C. Martinez
Linda Catherine (Capoferri) Martinez of Pottstown passed away suddenly on June 27, 2022. She was 74.
Linda was born November 8th, 1947, to Albine and Emma (Amadio) Capoferri in Phoenixville PA. She was a graduate from St. Pius and a member of Sacred Heart Church. She had one devoted son that she raised in Royersford, PA. Linda met and married her special love Joseph Martinez (Bugsy), Joe had a son and a niece that Linda welcomed. Linda dedicated her early career to hair dressing, eventually moving on to serve her community for 22 years working at Phoenixville Hospital.
Throughout her life, Linda loved to spend time with her family and friends. She also loved to travel, making trips over to Italy, Paris, and London. A trip to Canada and her last trip up through New England, were some of her special trips. In addition to traveling, Linda loved music. She was always going to listen to Bugsy, Mark, or Michael to support them all. When she was able, she was on the dance floor didn’t matter the type of music.
She loved shopping for knickknacks and could spend hours in Hobby Lobby. Crafts and shopping were a favorite way to spend her down time as well as spending time enjoying her friends in various card clubs, book clubs and wine clubs. Nothing compared to the love of time spent with her family and friends, especially her husband, Joseph and only child, Mark.
Linda leaves behind her son, Mark Kessler, a stepson Joseph Martinez, her brother and sister-in-law, Michael & Marla Capoferri, her granddaughter, Hailey Kessler, three nieces Kirsten Capoferri, Samantha Capoferri, Shelly Sherman, two great nieces, two great nephews and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph M. Martinez and her parents, Albine and Emma Capoferri.
Friends and family are invited to attend her visitation on July 5, 2022 at 10:00am to 11:30am at Shalkop, Grace and Strunk Funeral Home located at 135 Bridge Street Spring City. Memorial Service to immediately follow.
