Kathryn E. Rodenbaugh, 95
Kathryn Rodenbaugh, 95, passed away Sunday July 31, 2022 peacefully in her sleep. Affectionately known as “Kitty”, she was a vibrant personality and follower of Jesus Christ.
Born, one of two daughters, June 10, 1927 in Norristown to the late William Rodenbaugh and the late Kathryn (Owens) Rodenbaugh, Kitty loved people. She was committed to loving others well and served with an open heart. She retired from working in administration at the Corson Quarry, she retired a second time from the Phoenix Mobile Homes as the Manager and then retired a final time from Housekeeping at the University of Valley Forge (where she loved to pass out Tootsie Roll candies to students while she worked). The students and faculty became like family. For decades Kitty’s Special Personal Ministry was to take students out for lunch after Sunday Services. She loved to hike, watch birds and enjoyed gardening. An avid nonfiction reader, Kitty was smart and thoughtful. She was a long-standing member of Grace Assembly of God Church where she faithfully attended and always brought a friend.
Kitty leaves behind her only sister, Lois Miller; and she was preceded in passing by their oldest sister, Marion Taylor.
A special thank you to her friends, who were like family to her: Lois Streett, a friend for 60+ years; Kathy Terragnoli and Simone Caban, friends who were like daughters to her; Nancy from Phoenix Mobile Homes. Also, a special thank you to dear friends that visited her in Parkhouse during her stay: the Masons, the Brubakers, the Reynolds, Leanne and Jeannette, just to name a few of the regulars.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday August 8 in Good Shepherd Mausoleum Chapel at Limerick Garden of Memories, 44 Swamp Pike, Limerick. You are welcome to visit with friends prior to the service at the chapel from 10:00 – 11:00 AM.
