John M. Hamilton, Sr. 90, King of Prussia
John Hamilton, Sr., 90, husband of Frances (Timlin) Hamilton, passed away Thursday January 19, 2023 in the Bryn Mawr Hospital.
He was born September 19, 1932 in Paisley, Scotland to the late John C. Hamilton and late Alice (Gillespie) Hamilton. John attended University in Scotland and then pursued a life in the United States rejoining his family who had emigrated years earlier. He worked as a Mechanical Engineer until retirement. He served our country in the Navy providing construction support during the Vietnam War. John worked hard and was very proud of the Lamont Gear Company where he was President and CEO until retirement. John loved finding time to be with family and found enjoyment in traveling, golfing, and playing tennis.
He leaves behind his wife of 60 years Frances Hamilton, son John Hamilton, Jr. and his sister, Margaret Cavacini. He was most proud of his two grandsons Hayden and Hudson.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
