Obituary of Jocelyn R O'Dell

Jocelyn R. O’Dell (Gisbourne), passed away Sunday, February 5, 2023 in Paoli Hospital

She was born on January 10, 1937 in Birmingham, England to the late Joseph Leslie Gisbourne and the late Lucy Violet (Turner) Gisbourne. Jocelyn studied speech therapy and elocution at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts (LAMDA), before moving to the United States in 1969 with her husband and two year old son, Philip. She resided in Phoenixville for 43 years, while working as a junior executive for G.E. Aerospace until she retired.

A lover of music, Jocelyn played the piano and was a fan of ‘60s music, especially the Rolling Stones. She was an animal lover and enjoyed traveling. She was also an accomplished actress.

Jocelyn leaves behind her husband, Nicholas O’Dell, son, Philip O’Dell, and is predeceased by her sister Valerie.

A private memorial service for family members will be held on February 11, 2023, at 12:00 pm.
