Obituary of Barbara Jean Mattis

Barbara Jean Mattis, 83, Douglassville

On Saturday March 11, 2023, Barbara Jean Mattis passed away at the Complete Care Center in Reading, PA at the age of 83. A loving daughter, sister, mother and grandmother, Barbara is survived by her brother Richard Hetrick, her two children Jo Ann Stoudt and John R. Mattis, and her three grandchildren Kaitlyn, Joshua, and Danielle. She is pre-deceased by her parents Robert Hetrick and Dorothy Hetrick (McFarland).

Barbara was born in Pottstown and remained in the area for most of her life. She served as an administrative assistant for Limerick Township Municipal Authority. Barbara was also a member of the St. Vincent United Church of Christ in Spring City. Barbara lived in Amity Manor in Douglassville for 17 years, she loved the community there and enjoyed playing Bingo with her friends.

In her free time, Barbara enjoyed doing puzzles and crossword puzzles, as well as spending time with family and three loving grandchildren.
