Obituary of Margaret A. Clevenstine

Margaret A. (Yeoman) Clevenstine, 87, Sanatoga

Margaret A. Clevenstine, wife of the late John N. Clevenstine, passed away Wednesday March 22, 2023 in the  Sanatoga Center.

Affectionately known as Maggie, she was born November 9, 1935 in Upper Providence Twp. at home to   the late  Robert Yeoman and Edith (Wilson) Yeoman Gauger. The oldest of three children, Maggie loved to serve people.  She was a lifelong member of the Royersford Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir, taught many fellowship classes, Sunday Schools and Vacation Bible Schools.  There was not an area of the church she wasn’t involved in, including the trustees, Women’s ministry, and Meals on Wheels.

Maggie worked for Gary’s Discount Drug in Royersford and the Credit Union for Diamond Glass/Anchor Glass where she greeted the community with a smile and knew everyone! She loved to play games.  It was one of her favorite pastimes to get together to play cards, dominoes, Yahtzee, just about anything with family and friends.

Maggie leaves behind two of her children:  John N. Jr. (wife, Janet) of Arizona and Deborah of New York. Her two sons:  David and Mark preceded her in death.  In addition to her children, she is survived by her brother, Robert W. Yeoman of Pottstown and sister, Billie Kern of Spring City, five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and other nephews and nieces.

A Memorial service will be held on May 20, 2023 in the Royersford Baptist Church  at 11:00 AM, luncheon and fellowship to follow.  A private interment of ashes will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can made at a charity of your choice.
