Obituary of Warren C. Mann

Please share a memory of Warren to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Warren Chambers Mann, 88, of East Nantmeal, PA passed away peacefully at home with his wife and dogs, on March 31, 2023.

He attended Frankford HS in Philadelphia, where he was the quarterback for the football team. Warren earned his BS in Civil Engineering, while playing varsity lacrosse, at Lafayette College in 1956, and then went on to earn a degree in Architecture at Drexel University  attending night school while working full time.

He became a licensed engineer in 1960; and earned his private pilots license in 1974.

Warren cofounded Mann Micklewright Architecture in 1964, which transitioned to Mann Hughes Architecture in 1983. With this, he created an outlet for his passion -  designing buildings with real artistic appeal. His designs were very functional pieces of art. The breadth of his work included private residences, educational facilities, veterinary hospitals (he is the father of the flow plan that is still used in veterinary hospital design today), car dealerships (especially Mercedes Benz), and worship facilities. His positive and passionate approach to both his life and his work is for what he will be remembered most. He has touched many, and because of his work, he will always be around, not only in our hearts, but wrapping us in his structures.

Warren is survived by his wife, Leslie Gall; daughter, Sharyn Levitt (Dennis); son, Blake Mann;  grandchildren, Justin Levitt & Samantha Levitt (Gabriele); great grandchildren,  Sofia & Leonardo Carniello; step sons: Sean & Daniel Bellay.

The family will not be holding a memorial service and requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to The Crossings Animal Society or theThe East Nantmeal Land Trust (PO Box 161,  Glenmoore, PA  19343)

All arrangements are being handled by R. Strunk Funeral Home.  Online condolences can be made at www.rstrunkfuneralhome.com
