Obituary of Edwin G. Kehr
Edwin G. Kehr, age 87, beloved husband of 66 years to Carole (Mashman) Kehr died on Friday April 7, 2023. Edwin was born in Phoenixville, a son of the late Karl and Florence (Keyser) Kehr.
Edwin was raised in Oaks and resided in the Phoenixville area for 40 years. For the past 23 years he lived in State College, PA. Edwin was a 1953 graduate of Norristown High School. He then joined the United States Army and served from 1957 through 1963. He was employed for 37 years as an auto mechanic for Custer’s Garage, then employed by H&K Auto, Allied Security, and Clark Auto Equipment until his retirement. He enjoyed his time coaching Little League, volunteering for the Oaks/Audubon Little League and the Kimberton Youth Athletic League. He was an avid Phillies and Eagles sports fan. Edwin was also a former Trustee of the Phoenixville Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, Edwin is survived by son James (Kimberly), daughter Randa Harman (Jeff), and son Kenneth (Diane). He is also survived by seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Edwin was pre-deceased by a sister, Shirley Steininger, and brothers Robert and Donald Kehr.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his graveside funeral service on Saturday April 15, 2023, at 12:00 at Green Tree Cemetery, 1078 Egypt Road, Oaks, PA 19456.
