James “Toottie” F. Vanderslice, 66, Spring City

James “Jim” Vanderslice, 66,  passed away Friday April 7, 2023 unexpectedly. 

Jim was born November 30, 1956 in Norristown to the late  William  and the late Theresa (Bayler) Vanderslice.  A 1975 graduate of Spring Ford High School, Jim worked as a Machinist until retirement for the Dana Corporation, also known as Superior Tube and Uniform Tube. 

Affectionately known as “Toottie” in the Spring Ford Community, Jim was a social member of the VFW Royersford and a social member of the Liberty, Friendship and West End Fire Companies.

Jim is survived by his brothers, John (wife, Pamela) Vanderslice and William Joe Vanderslice;  Half brother Jerry Vanderslice.

A Celebration of Jim’s life will be held on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at 11:00 AM at the Shalkop, Grace & Strunk Funeral Home.  Friends are welcome to visit with the family prior to the service from 9:30 -11:00 in the Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
