Terry Trickel, 71, E. Vincent Township
Terry Trickel, 71, husband to Susan (Hughes) Trickel, passed away Friday, June 16, 2023 at his home after dealing with many health issues.
One of nine children, Terry was born February 16, 1952 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Richard and Marjorie (Orr)Trickel. He graduated from Conestoga High School in Berwyn (1970) and later attended Villanova University. Terry traveled extensively through Europe with friends. He never lost his life’s passion; model railroading. He started selling cast train parts at train shows. Terry became Manager of Small World Hobbies (miniature trains) in 1983 and remained there for many years. Later he began one of the first hundred successful EBAY online trading stores. Terry stayed successful at online train trading until bad health forced him to retire early. Terry had been a member of the Kiwanis Club in Phoenixville, PA Live Steamers of Rahns, PA and many other model train associations.
In private life Terry gave all to raising his family and riding every railroad he could find as a train enthusiast. He was dedicated to his family, friends and community. His wit and humor will be sorely missed by all who knew him. He was married to his college sweetheart, Susan, for 45 years. They have one daughter, Sara Beth Kimmey, son in law, Rob Kimmey, and a grandson, Matthew Kimmey. Terry leaves behind sisters: Carol Trickel, Elizabeth Beaver, Jane Reynolds and Melinda Tanis. He leaves brothers: Ralph and Mark Trickel. Terry is preceded in death by two brothers: Richard Jr. and David Trickel. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and friends.
