I worked with Susan many years at Mrs Smith’s Pie Co. She was a quiet gentle lady and it was a pleasure working with her. So sorry to hear of her passing. Prayers to her family

Susan was devoted to her parents. While her health allowed, she was involved in many ministries over the years at our church, all of which she did very well. She was a fan of sunflowers, ladybugs, and most of all, chocolate. I miss her.

Susan’s obituary beautifully and accurately express my remembrance of Susan. She had a big heart. I assisted Susan and family in caring for her parents and her bond with them. I admired her perseverance through her life challenges as well as her ongoing service to others. Peace at last.

The news of Susan's death reminds me of the words in Hebrews 11:38 "Of whom the world was not worthy...". As a young adult she was involved in an auto accident and received blood that imparted to her lifelong difficulties. As an older man in the congregation had emphasized, "when you face a difficulty you leave it bitter or better." Sue seemed to have responded better.
We arrived in Spring City after not long after her experience. Yet she was faithful in attendance, committed in ministering particularly to children in both in Vacation Bible School and in Pioneer Girls. But when we ventured into mission trips like taking teens to Boston to do street evangelism, she and her sister Shirleyanne were essential to the team. When we traveled to Guadeloupe, FWI, she was vitally involved. Further, when we launched the Missions Committee of the congregation, she was a faithful participant and a consistent encourager in the outreach efforts and so much more. In our family, "Miss Sue" remains a lasting reminder of one who embraced the old hymn by Thomas O. Chisholm, Living for Jesus: "Living for Jesus, a life that is true, striving to please Him in all that we do, living completely, glad hearted and free, this is the pathway of blessing for me."

My late wife Judy Lynn (Francis) Mauger, 04-17-2019, and I were long time friends of her parents. The girls were gracious, kind, and warm. You could see Christs love in the parents and their kids. I believe God received her just in time for a "Heavenly family reunion." My DEEPEST CHRISTIAN sympathy to all family & friends. Art Mauger.
