Obituary of Deidre M. Beiter
Deidre (Sherman) Beiter, 73
In loving memory of Deidre/Dee (Sherman) Beiter of Spring City, PA. She was born on April 18th, 1950, in Philadelphia and lost her battle to cancer on Monday July 24th, 2023, at Paoli Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Calvin and Harriette Mckee. Surviving Dee is her husband, David Beiter, and her three bonus children, Kim Cavalari, her husband Ed and their two children Ian and Adam, Brian Beiter, Sisi Beiter, and her two very special furry children: Woofa and Zo-Zo.
Dee is a friend to many and a lover to all with whom she spent much of her time. One of Dee’s favorite ministries was Women’s Walk with Christ where she devoted many weekends to supporting women and leading them to a deeper relationship with Christ. Dee was also heavily involved in their church, Calvary Fellowship Church in Downingtown, PA. She was apart of the Red Hat Society for years, supporting even more women and participating in various social events.
Dee worked at Temple University as a Constable Training Coordinator, preceding that she was a paramedic and continued on to become a police officer for the Borough of Spring City for 30 years. Her journey led her to become the first female Chief of Police in Chester County. She carried around her brain in her pocket, writing details, notes, and stories everywhere she went. She was an avid reader, curious for life, knowledge, and the Good Lord’s word. Dee has been called home and will be leaving behind a legacy to all those who had the pleasure of knowing her.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Dee on Sunday, July 30th, 2023 at Downingtown Country Club in Downingtown, PA at 1:30 PM.
