Ed certainly was a best friend to my Dad at the SEVC. They went through the thick and thin of Covid lock-downs together and kept each other in good company. Ed never hesitated to help my Dad with laundry and other small chores. It was wonderful how they looked out for each other.
When we had family events at the SEVC, Ed didn't want to intrude, but we could always lure him in with *pizza*! Ed loved certainly loved his pizza!
God bless Ed for being such a kind soul and lovable person. He even made us smile when Dad passed. We brought Ed in to say goodbye and Ed told Dad to "put up his dukes" and acted like he was going to pursue a boxing match with him, only to drop his arms and say "Aww, I guess you don't have it in you anymore". We'll always treasure that moment and greatly appreciate his great sense of humor.
I can only hope that they are keeping each other company again in Heaven this time. (And hopefully Dad is doing Ed's laundry this time!)
Our deepest heartfelt sympathy to Ed's family. God bless you all and comfort you. Ed will be greatly missed. Rest peacefully Ed.
