Obituary of Wendy (Renne) Earle

Wendy Earle (nee Renne), age 74, of Collegeville, died on November 8, 2023, after a year long battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband James Mulvey, mother Shirley Renee and niece, Marci Simon, Marci’s husband Mike and son Michael. She was preceded in death by her father, Henry L Renee, Jr.

Wendy was a champion in women’s field hockey, and Homecoming Queen at Collingswood HS. She secured a full athletic scholarship and attended Trenton State College (currently, The College of New Jersey), where she excelled and presided as president of her sorority, Gamma Sigma. She enjoyed many years working for Farm Journal and had a final 20 years of employment at SKF, from where she retired in 2019. After retiring, Wendy was elected to the Spring Ford School District school board and proudly served on the board for four years. Wendy always had a straight forward, no-nonsense approach to life. She loved first-class accommodations to warm locations, a spot at the bar for the Eagles or Phillies game, crossword puzzles, fine dining (or a good Philly Cheesesteak), dogs, cooking, reading and family.

A memorial service will be held at R. Strunk Funeral Home (400 Main St, Phoenixville PA 19460) on November 12th beginning at 11:30 am. A visitation will be held from 10:00-11:30. In lieu of flowers, Wendy would request any consideration to the Pennsylvania SPCA. All arrangements are being handled by the R. Strunk Funeral Home.
