Obituary of Tony E. Johnson
A wonderful and caring man, Tony E. Johnson, age 79, beloved husband of Charlene (Kahl) Johnson, of Royersford, PA formerly of Mullica Hill, NJ died peacefully in his home on Friday May 3, 2024 after a four (4) year battle with Cancer. Born in North Carolina, Tony was a good ole “southern boy” who would eventually settle down in southern New Jersey.
Tony was a veteran of the U.S. Navy (stationed in Norfolk, VA) and employed for many years in Construction Sales at Woodbury Cement in Woodbury, NJ. It was here that he met the love of his life Charlene. This coming September (2024) would have been Tony & Charlene’s 30th wedding anniversary.
Tony enjoyed snowmobiling, four wheeling, playing golf, his family reunions, cheering for the Philly sports teams, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Tony leaves behind his adoring wife, Charlene (Kahl) Johnson; 4 children: Dena, Donna, Dan, and Kevin. 2 brothers: Wimpy and Jerry. 11 grandchildren: Zach, Alex, Shane, Brendan, Gavin, Ryan, Ethan, Luke, Allyson, Reagan, and Madden. He is predeceased by a daughter: Danielle, Brother: Johnny and Sister: Jean.
Tony’s life will be celebrated privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made in Tony’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association.
