Obituary of Vladimir Dobrischkin

Vladimir Dobrischkin, 67, who resided at the Souteast Veterans Center in Spring City, PA, beloved husband of Linda (Bishop) Dobrischkin of Phoenixville, PA, died on Monday in the Pottstown Memorial Medical Center. Born in Bruck, Austria, Vladimir was a son to the late Ivan (John) and Ewdokia (Lemanski) Dobrischkin. Vladimir came to the United States at the age of four. He resided most of his life in Phoenixville. He was a graduate of Phoenixville High School, where he ran cross country and was involved with Theatre. Vladimir was a veteran of the United states Marine Corp. serving during the Vietnam War and Dessert Storm; he retired from the Marine Corp (3 years) and Marine Corps Reserve (24 years) serving during the Vietman War and Desert Storm. He retired with the rank of master gunnery Sergeant. He continued to serve in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard (5 years). He was also employed as an auto mechanic for various auto dealerships and was employed for the U. S. Postal Service in West Chester. Vladimir was a member of the pron/Seton Marine Corps League Detachment and he was an avid NASCAR and Phillies Fan. In addition to his wife of 43 years Vladimir is survived by two sons: Allen wife of Debby Dobrschkin of East Coventry, and A.J. Dobrischkin of Phoenixville. He is also survived by two grandchildren : Alyssa and Allen David Dobrischkin, and a brother: Anatoli Dobrischkin of Colorado. He is predeceased by a son: Vladimir David Dobrischkin. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Saturday 1/4/14 at 11am at the First United Methodist Church of Phoenixville 865 South Main Street Phoenixville PA. The Reverend Mark Young officiating. Burial to follow with Military honors in the Philadelphia Memorial Park, Frazer. His viewing will be held Saturday morning on church from 9:30-11am. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made in his memory to the First United Methodist Church to the above address or to the National MS Society, PO Box 4527 New York, NY 10163.
