Obituary of Mildred Rose Erbe

Mildred R. (Turner) Erbe, 86, widow of the late William J. Erbe, died Friday, May 8, 2015 in Phoenixville Hospital.
She was born April 8, 1929, in Phoenixville to the late Frank E. and the late Florence C. (Hiller) Turner.
Surviving her are two children: Deborah Wolczyk of Spring City and Carl DePietropaolo of Phoenixville. Also, surviving her are a sister, Gladys Emrey of Royersford and a brother, Donald Turner of Florida. She is predeceased by sisters, Jeannette Miller and Eleanor Ott, and a brother, Robert Turner.
She is a 1947 graduate of Spring City High School and a 1955 graduate of Bryland Institute of Beauty Culture, Reading.
Through the years, Mrs. Erbe worked as a switchboard operator for Bell Telephone and later for Valley Forge Army Hospital and Phoenixville Hospital. She had her own beauty shop for 12 years and worked for a time at Sears and Acme.
She was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Phoenixville, and a LIFE member of Deborah Hospital Foundation, serving as treasurer for Schuylkill Valley Chapter for many years.
A Public Graveside Burial of Ashes will be held on May 21, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at Vincent Mennonite Cemetery, Mennonite Church Road, Spring City, PA, with the Rev. Arlene Greenwald officiating.
