I am sincerely sorry to hear of my cousin Eddie's passing. When i was just a kid, maybe 12, he let me hang out with him and his buddies down at the corner in Linfield. Their car club was called "The Happenings." He had a black Chevy impala that he kept shining with coats of wax that he polished every weekend, in his driveway. He lived next door to us. I lived with my Grandmother and my father Fred on Limerick Center Road. It meant a lot to me that he took enough interest in me to be the big brother that i never really had, when i really needed to believe that someone still cared. He was always someone that i looked up to. I wanted to be just like him.
Unfortunately, we eventually went our separate ways. There was always some kind of friction happening between the Yanocha brothers. I'm sorry that our family had to be that way but, I think he ended up pretty happy with Beth. ...Last time i talked to him in an E-mail, he was trying to figure out how he could end up retiring to Florida. I don't know if that actually ever happened but i understand the dream. Florida sounds great. ...a little sun and clear blue water. ...maybe a little fishing and swimming. God bless you Ed.
