Obituary of Evelyn B Brower

Evelyln B. "Tis" (Roberts) Brower, 93, widow of the late Everett H "Bud" Brower, formerly of Spring City, died on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at her home in East Freedom, PA. Mrs. Brower was the daughter of the late Hunter Roberts and the late Ethel (Shaner) Roberts. She was born in Spring City which remained her home until eight years ago. Mrs. Brower graduated from the former Spring City High School in 1935 and worked at Spring City Knitting for 30 years, retiring in 1981. She was a member o the Spring City First United Church of Christ where she had been a member of the Alpha Tawe??? Sunday School class and the choir. Mrs. Brower is survived by her son Richard L, husband of Kathy Brower of East Freedom. She also has three grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, David G. Brower and two brothers, Cart J Roberts, Sr and Everett Roberts. Memorials in her memory may be made to the Spring City United Church of Christ, 145 Chestnut St., Spring City, PA 19475. Graveside services will be private. Arrangements are by the Shalkop Grace & Strunk Funeral Home. Online tributes may be made at sgsfuneralhome.com.
