John J. Johnson, Jr, age 90, husband of Mary (Smith) of Lafayette Hill, PA died Tuesday evening in the Manor Care of King of Prussia Nursing Home. He was born in County Antrim, Ireland to the late John J and the late Ellen (O'Kane) Johnson. Mr. Johnson resided in Roxborough and Norristown, prior to his retirement from Stroehman's Bakery. After his retirement he spent several years in Bradenton, Florida, and then returned to the Norristown area in 2005. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II under the command of General George Patton. In addition to his wife he is survived by four sons, Jack (MaryJo) Johnson, Jimmy (AnneMarie) Johnson, Joe (Sally) Johnson, and Michael (Marianne) Johnson. Also survived by stepchildren, Beverly (Bill) Carr, Gail (Sam) Slick, Glenn (AnneMarie) Douglas, Don (Nancy) Douglas, Jeff Douglas, Dale (Sharon) Douglas and Denise (Tony) Rosetti. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, sixteen step grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and nine step great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Saturday April 10, 2010 at 10; 00am at the Shalkop Grace & Strunk Funeral Home, Bridge and Church Streets Spring City PA 19475. Interment with military honors to follow in the Valley Forge Memorial Gardens, King of Prussia. Visitation will be held Saturday morning in the funeral home from 9-10am
