Joan Y Shantz, 81, Limerick
Joan Y Shantz, 81, widow of Warren Shantz, died Wednesday, September 21, in Seasons Hospice.
She was born in Royersford to the late Eugene and the late Elsie (Bauer) Moyer.
She worked as a nurse's aide for VNA and provided private home care. In addition, she was a teacher's aide for Twin Acres PreSchool. Joan enjoyed living on her farm, and was an avid crafter.
She is survived by her children, daughter, Diane Wagner of Spring City, and son, Paul Shantz of Spring City; one grandson, Jason Wagner, husband of Tara; and three great grandchildren, Colin, Caitlin, and Caleb.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend her funeral service on Thursday, September 29, at 11:00 AM at The Spring City Fellowship Church, with The Rev. John Shantz officiating.
