Elizabeth "Betty" Karkosak, 96, Phoenixville Elizabeth Karkosak, widow of Frank Karkosak, died Thursday, February 1, at her residence. She was born in 1921 to the late John and the late Julia (Benyo) Menrey. Betty was a member of Sacred Heart Church until its closure, then she became a member at St. Josephs Church in Spring City. She worked as in medical production for The West Company for 25 years until her retirement. She loved cooking and baking cookies, Sunday dinners, going to the casinos, and playing cards. Elizabeth is survived by her two sons, Dennis F. Karkosak, of Royersford, and Donald J. Karkosak, husband of Regina. Three grandchildren; Christopher (Lindsey), Nicole, and Joseph; and one great grandson, Cole. She is predeceased by her sisters, Mary, Margaret, Helen, Josephine, and Caroline, and her brothers, Steve, John, Edward, and Bobby. Friends and family are invited to attend her funeral mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 148 Church Street, Phoenixville, on Tuesday, February 6, at 11:00 AM, with The Rev. Charles O'Hara officiating. Visitation will be held at Shalkop Grace & Strunk Funeral Home, 135 Bridge St. Spring City on Monday, February 5, from 6:30 to 8:00 PM, and at Sacred Heart Church on Tuesday, February 6 from 10 to 11 AM.
