Obituary of Linda Hartzell

Linda F Hartzell, 68, Spring City

 

Linda F. (Weidenbaugh) Hartzell, age 68, beloved wife of David C. Hartzell for 50 years of Spring City died peacefully in her daughter’s home Friday after a lengthy illness.
 

 

Linda was born in  Pottstown, PA   a daughter to the late Levern Wise and Hazel (Weidenbaugh) Wise.

Linda was raised in Limerick and resided most of her life in Spring City.

Linda was employed many years at the former Pennhurst State School and for the Norristown State Hospital until her retirement.
 

 

Linda enjoyed baking, gardening and planting flowers.  She found peace walking along the shoreline with her beloved dog "Meadow",  but what she loved most of all was spending time with her family.

 

Linda was the loving mother of daughters: Debra Lynn,  wife of John Case of Winnie TX and Jennifer Renae,  wife of Jeffrey John of Spring City.  Linda is also survived by five grandchildren: Chelsea, Jordan, Mason, Rylee, and Jacob as well as two great grandchildren: Adrianna and Amari.

 

She is also survived by four siblings, a sister: Susan, wife of Nathan Kolb and brothers: Barry Wise,  husband of Galina, Jay Wise,  husband of Dawn and Ronnie, husband of Carol and several nieces and  nephews.
 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Thursday at 10am at the Shalkop Grace & Strunk Funeral Home, Bridge and Church Streets Spring City PA.

Burial will follow in the Limerick Garden of Memories. Her viewing will be held on Wednesday evening from 6-8pm and on Thursday morning from 9:30-10am at the funeral home, In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial gifts be made in her memory to the Chester County SPCA  1212 Phoenixville Pike, West Chester PA 19380.
