Emma Jane Henschel, 95, Frederick Emma Jane Henschel, 95, widow of Samuel Ferdinant, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, January 6, 2019 in the Frederick Mennonite Community. She was born March 11, 1923 in Oaks to the late William Ervin and the late Emma (Keplinger) Groff. Emma Jane worked as a Technician for General Electric until retirement. She also served our country in WWII as a Physical Therapist. Emma Jane was a lifelong member of Green Tree Church of the Brethren where she served as a deacon for over 40 years, had many Bible Studies in her home and enjoyed teaching God's word in various Sunday Schools and Vacation Bible Schools. She was proud of the opportunities she had to travel and volunteer in various capacities as a Physical Therapist for the Brethren Volunteer Services. Emma Jane leaves behind three children: Alice Myers, John Henschel and Ervin Henschel, a sister: Alice Smith and four brothers: Harry Groff, Richard Groff, George Groff and Donald Groff. Nine Grandchildren and Nineteen Great Grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her brother William E. Groff A memorial service will be held at __:__ __ Monday, January 14 in Green Tree Church Of The Brethren, 1078 Egypt Road, Oaks. Visitation will be from ??? Monday in the church.
