Obituary of Sally Parry


Sally Parry, 93, Audubon


Sally (Rittenhouse) Parry, 93, widow of Richard McLean Parry, died Sunday, March 3,  at her home.


She was born in  Philadelphia to the late Alfred Taylor Rittenhouse II and the late Sarahmary (Neel) Rittenhouse Ellis. 


A graduate of Pennsylvania State University, she worked in the library at  Bryn Mawr Hospital.


Sally was a 12th generation decendent of Nathan Roberts, a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, a Supporter of Bryn Mawr Hospital, National Public Radio, and The National Cathedral.  A nice person to all who knew her, she loved her children, family, art, books, trees, and travel.


She is survived by her four children, Elizabeth Parry Miller of Hilton Head Island, SC (Beveridge), V. Taylor Parry of Kimberton, PA, Amanda Parry Miller of Louisville, KY, (Scott), and Anne Rittenhouse Parry, of Ft. Lauderdale, FL.; grandchildren, Michelle Miller Knight, Amanda Miller Harper, Tiev Bartok Miller, Davya Niklos Miller, Sophie Raya Miller, and Asa Lark Miller; great grandchildren, Alexa Leigh Knight, John Jackson Harper, and Grey Miller Harper.  She is also survived by her brother Neel Rittenhouse (Joyce).


A memorial Service will be held  at The R. Strunk Funeral Home, 400 Main St., Phoenixville, PA 19460 on Tuesday, March 19  at 11:00 AM with The Rev. Dennis Keen officiating.


A private burial  will be held at West Laurel Hill Cemetery, Philadelphia on Tuesday, March 19, 2019.
