Obituary of Sandra S. Sibley

Sandra S. Sibley, 60, Pottstown

Sandra Sibley, 60,  beloved wife, sister, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully in her sleep early Tuesday morning, August 11, 2020.

She was born July 5, 1960 in Philadelphia to the late  Marvin Silverman and Rita (D’Amico) Silverman. One of five children, Sandra spent her growing up years in Narberth.  She attended St. Agnes School of Nursing. The love of nursing and people led her to work at Lankenau Hospital and other medical facilities for many years from working as a surgical nurse to delivering babies.

Phil and Sandra were married in 1983 and resided in Havertown.  They have three adoring children.  Phil and Sandra retired in South Coventry, Chester County where Sandra loved to plan family gatherings, travel and enjoy the simpler routines of life.  Travel was important to her.  There isn’t any island they hadn’t visited and have enjoyed cruises and trips with their many friends. 

Sandra leaves behind her husband of 37 years, Philip Sibley, Sr., three children:  Philip Sibley, Jr (Haley) of Maryland, Andrew Sibley (Stephanie) of Downingtown, Jennifer Wagner (David) of Jamison, PA; three sisters:  Anne Staiano, Jean Hays, Karen Snow and brother:  Edward Silverman; five grandchildren:  Ashton, Devin, Chase, Mackenzie and Maxwell

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday August 15, 2020 in R. Strunk Funeral Home, 400 Main Street, Phoenixville with Rev. James Stambaugh officiating.

Friends and family are invited to visit with the family:

Friday Afternoon Visitation will be from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM Friday, August 14.

Friday Evening Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, August 14.

Saturday Morning Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Saturday, August 15 prior to the service at R. Strunk Funeral Home.

Burial will be immediately following in the Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery. 1600 S. Sproul Road, Springfield, PA 19064.
