I met Rick during a baseball season, where we each had a grandson playing. Friendly, effervescent, always smiling, and there was always a stop at his pickup truck after a game, where coaches and others would lean on the truck bed and enjoy one of Rick's beers that he kept there. After I met him, it was as if we had been friends for life. I will miss seeing him on my visits to Pennsylvania.

It is with a heavy heart that Barb and I read of Rick's passing. While we sadly allowed too much time to pass since getting together, the memories of Rick will always remain special. From high school, through the years of us each working in and continuing our family businesses, and most especially sharing time and responsibilities as officers and Past Masters of Stichter Masonic Lodge, we shared many joys and challenges. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of your family, and we know he was quite proud of all of you.
Sincerely, and with the deepest of sympathies,
C. David and Barbara Hollenbach

What can I say besides Rick has been one of the best things in my life. He was always there to help whenever I needed a hand. Rick enjoyed watching his grandchildren grow. He was always the life of the party no matter where he went. He had friends everywhere he went but during Jacobs baseball tournaments he has his special group of drinking buddies. They laughed and partied every tourney lol. Rick I love u and that does not stop in death. I cherished the time we spent together, the good, the bad, and the ugly. We always seemed to have a good time. Thank you for being a father to me a grandfather to my kids and most of all a friend!! My heart breaks when I see a picture of u knowing we will not meet again u til my time is gone but I do look forward to our reunion. Rest In Peace I will always love you
