Obituary of James Bruce Mitchell

James Bruce Mitchell, “Bruce”, husband of Brian Hozyash, of Spring City age 67, died on Sunday October 16, 2022, surrounded by his friends at the Pottstown Hospital after a brief illness.

Bruce was born in St. Stephens New Brunswick, Canada a son of the late James J. Mitchell and of Mary (Johnston) Mitchell.  Bruce resided most of his life in the Spring Ford area, he was 1973 graduate of Spring Ford High School, and was employed for many years for Almac Clinical Services and retired as Senior Tech. Bruce loved spending time with his friends and was rather handy and found joy in doing home improvements. He will be missed by his friends of forty-two years and his family.

In addition to his husband and mother he is survived by his group of friends of forty-two years; a brother:  Phillip husband of Pattie Mitchell and his sister: Heather Young, he also leaves behind a niece and nephews. and great niece: Lisla.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 28, 2022 at the Shalkop, Grace & Strunk Funeral Home. Visitation for family and friends will begin at 10:00 prior to the service.   Burial will be private at a later date. All arrangements are being handled by the Shalkop, Grace & Strunk Funeral Home.
