He was the Original Rocky - A Norristown Legend and the Best Friend You Could Have. He had a huge heart whether it was when competing in sports or protecting friends. We became friends in college at West Chester and remained friends for life. I remember seeing the movie Rocky for the first time and couldn't help seeing the similarities with Joe. He was tough, kind, the underdog who loved and protected those he cared for. There was also the sad side - he struggled to fit in, although he was at times tremendously popular. I believe he was lonely a lot. We had so many good times together; I miss him terribly already. Rest in Peace my friend - I love You Brother!
