Cheryl was a wonderful person taken way too soon; Cheryl was a great help to me with my second graders, I'm sorry she didn't get to enjoy her days of retirement.

She was a wonderful colleague and always had a positive outlook. She was dedicated to all her students and had a huge impact on my son. I am fortunate to have known her and am saddened to hear about her passing.

So saddened to hear of Cheryl’s passing. She was always smiling in the hallways at French Creek Elementary when I would volunteer there when my son attended there. Loved chatting with her when I would see her or she would stop while I was working at the student store. My sincere condolences and prayers to her entire family. Heaven definitely gained an angel

The Smith family and my family lived in the same Spring City neighborhood and Cheryl and my son Gary graduated together from Spring-Ford. I remember those years with fondness. I also share the loss of an adult child as Gary passed in 2003.
So, Peg and Family, I share your untimely loss, as Cheryl was approaching retirement. She must have looked forward to that.
Knowing that Cheryl knew her Lord Jesus brings comfort and peace to all who loved her. May you know the peace of our heavenly Father.

We were introduced on Match.com. When we decided to meet, I didn’t want to tell her my last name but surprise her that mine was the same as her maiden name. However, being advised by her sons that this guy was probably a con man of sorts, she forced me to tell her. We met at the Windmill restaurant. As I was on the porch waiting for her I got a text message that said “I am watching you!”. Shortly thereafter she emerged from her car all smiles. We had a pleasant conversation and had to leave because the restaurant was closing. To my utter surprise and delight, she wanted to prolong our conversation by sitting on a bench outside. When it was time to leave I walked her to her car where she told me that she’ll date a guy 3 times and will know by then whether to give him the boot. I was overjoyed when she agreed to a 4th date. And so began a wonderful relationship and journey that lasted over 11 years and ended prematurely by her death. I truly believe God brought us together being that we were so compatible and enjoyed each other’s presence. Why God took her and left me behind I cannot answer, but I thank him for bringing such a precious jewel into my life. Gosh! I’m going to miss her.

God blessed her Dad and I with a beautiful daughter and two other great children. Ever since she was a little girl she knew she wanted to become a teacher. She touched many lives and helped guide them with much love and care. She left us much too soon. She recently retired and had so much more love to offer her family and friends. She fought valiantly against her cancer but was very much at peace with her loving Heavenly Father. We will miss her so much and cherish her memory and see her again in heaven. God bless you Cheryl. With all my love, Mother.

I met Cheryl several years ago at Hopewell Church. From the moment I met her I knew we would become fast friends. She was the most joyfully optimistic person I’d ever met who always had a smile for everyone. At Hopewell we received support together for a similar situation in our lives and later developed a Life Group for others who had experienced the same. We met at Cheryl’s home for several years and spent many hours together eating, laughing, crying and sharing our love for Jesus and each other. It’s a bond that lasted the test of time and even though we didn’t see each other as often in the years that followed the group’s end, when we did it was if no time had passed. Cheryl’s loved ones were most important to her and it was so wonderful to see her become a Grandmother to Hunter. Cheryl also loved Jesus with all her heart and never hesitated to share her faith with anyone. I will miss my dear friend. We talked about seeing each other more often after she retired. I’m sorry she didn’t get to enjoy that part of her life more, but she’s with her beloved Lord and she got to teach up until the end … the thing she loved to do the most. Cheryl touched many lives over the years and leaves the world a better place for being here. Rest In Peace my friend until we meet again.
